Newburyport
The GOMI course at Newburyport High School, MA is called “Environmental Field Studies Course.” It is led by Erin Hobbs, and designed for 11th graders. Students in the course conduct independent research projects on the Great Salt Marsh or within the Gulf of Maine. These projects involve both qualitative and quantitative data acquisition and involve both the Newburyport community and its ecosystems. Students ultimately present research to the community.
